    The Innovation & Technology Inclusion Council (ITIC) advises the Mayor and the public on ways in which to grow the District's innovation and tech-economy in an inclusive manner, increase the number of jobs and high-technology businesses in the District, and ensure opportunities for all District residents. The ITIC also identifies effective strategies to engage and support the inclusion of underrepresented groups and their performance in the District's innovation and tech-economy through STEM education, workforce development and tech-entrepreneurship. The ITIC develop reports, proposals and plans for ways in which the District can grow and leverage its innovation and tech-economy efforts.

    The Data Science & Analytics (DSA) Initiative is funded by a nearly $400k grant from the National Science Foundation, which will aid in educating faculty and leading research in data science. In addition to the current plans, the university is setting the groundwork to develop an undergraduate certificate program in data science analytics.

    The members of the DSA Advisory Board come from diverse educational backgrounds, job roles, and have DSA expertise as well as domain experience in disciplines such as Health, Chemistry, and Economics. The DSA Advisory Board will offer input and feedback on the quality of the DSA modules, courses, labs, and materials developed and delivered as well as guidance and direction to the progress of the project.

DC litigation, a class action lawsuit regarding reliable transportation for the District’s 3,200 special education students and timely payments to non-public schools and…
