    Raise Your Hand Chicagoland was a Habitat for Humanity event which invited everyone in Chicagoland to raise their hand and join Habitat to transform families and communities.

    The four day build event was located in downtown Chicago, adjacent to the Tribune Tower and included hundreds of volunteers who constructed wall frames for 13 homes.     Raise Your Hand Chicagoland was a Habitat for Humanity event which invited everyone in Chicagoland to raise their hand and join Habitat to transform families and communities.

    The four day build event was located in downtown Chicago, adjacent to the Tribune Tower and included hundreds of volunteers who constructed wall frames for 13 homes. These were delivered to select Chicago area affiliates after the event. Raise Your Hand Chicagoland generated a huge awareness and fund raising that grossed over $1MM in contributions to support the building of homes for needy families in the Chicagoland area.

UMCOR’s work reaches people in more than 80 countries, including the United States, and provides humanitarian relief when war, conflict, or natural disaster disrupt life to such an extent that communities are unable to recover on their own.

    Our team's particular response to Hurricane Katrina was in the effort of rebuilding a total of 3 homes that were located in Moss Point, Mississippi. This area was very impoverished and many of the families had been displaced for years (not just months).

    Kids Around the World "One Meal" mission is designed to meet the needs of starving children by empowering people to serve. Their mobile food-packing program engages groups to work together in a meaningful hands-on, team-building experience. They partner with organizations like churches, schools, businesses, and civic groups to host food packing events at their location or their warehouse.
    Volunteers come together and pack meals assembly line style in a fun, educational, team-building event. The packaged food is then shipped and distributed to trusted partners to ensure the food reaches hungry children in great need of our help. This program has provided nourishing food to children in 18 different countries, including the U.S. and developing countries across the globe.
