You need to give a presentation, but you’re nervous. How can you overcome your fear of public speaking?
I got advice on this subject from a colleague a long time ago and think it still rings true. Find someone in the middle of the audience that nods in agreement with what you say. Or laughs at your icebreaker. Then pretend you're having a 1:1 conversation with that person. You forget about the hundreds of other people in the room and speak genuinely and comfortably.

I was matched with my little brother, Danny, in 2008. I spend at least 3 hours with him every other weekend. We do kid (and now teen) stuff. We go on bike rides, to the zoo, museums, or to the beach. Big Brothers also plans a lot of events for us. My job is to be a positive role model and to steer him away from bad influences in his neighborhood. I'm not sure which one of us benefits more from the program.

The EV Project has one simple goal: To fashion infrastructure for the burgeoning electric car industry.
“There are already 1,600-plus electric cars in San Diego, the highest in the country,” said David Gatcha, of ECOtality (NASDAQ: ECTY), a Bay Area company and project partner that has received more than $100 million in federal funds to pursue the goal.
