  • Phaidon Takes 71K SF at SL Green’s 711 Third Avenue

  • Red Bull Leases 18K SF in Meatpacking District

    Red Bull is using its wings to fly to 15 Little West 12th Street in the Meatpacking District, where it’ll be leasing 17,585 square feet on the third floor. This will be a relocation of the Austria-based energy drink giant’s New York City offices from 218 West 18th Street and will serve as its East Coast headquarters.

    Newmark’s David Falk, Daniel Levine and Jason Greenstein represented the landlord, EPIC, in negotiations while Cushman & Wakefield‘s David Mainthow, handled it for Red Bull.

    Russell Investments has signed a lease for 8,568 square feet for five years at Beacon Capital Partners and MetLife’s at 575 Fifth Avenue, Cushman & Wakefield announced.

    C&W handled the negotiations for both tenant and landlord with Nick Masi and David Mainthow representing Russell Investments and Josh Kuriloff, Matthias Li, Andrew Braver and Eric Hazen representing Beacon and MetLife.

    Phaidon International has signed a 10-year deal to double its space at 622 Third Avenue near Grand Central Terminal. Phaidon, a recruitment company, will lease the entire eighth floor in the Midtown office tower for a total of 32,000 square feet, a move up from its 15,000-square-foot space on the third floor.

    Cushman & Wakefield today announced that the real estate services firm has arranged a 10-year, 13,040-square-foot lease for Axel Johnson, Inc. at Vornado Realty Trust’s 155 Spring Street. Axel Johnson, Inc., which occupies the penthouse floor, will be renewing its lease for the current space while also expanding into the floor below.

    New York City-based Volt Information Sciences, which provides staffing services and technology management consulting, is moving to Durst Organization’s 1133 Avenue of the Americas between West 43rd and 44th Streets.

    The publicly listed company inked a 14,686-square-foot lease to occupy the entire 15th floor in the 45-story building, as the New York Post first reported. The lease was for 10 years and the asking rent was $75, according to Tanya Grimaldo of Durst.

    Versace USA inked a lease at 3 Columbus Circle at Eighth Avenue between West 57th and West 58th streets.

    The high-end fashion brand, currently located at 200 Madison Avenue, will occupy the entire 20th floor — roughly 21,342 square feet — of the Columbus Circle tower, according to the Wall Street Journal. SL Green Realty and the Moinian Group own the building.
