Here's how you can effectively manage a team in the sports industry.
Help keep the “monkey” off your back and the backs of those on your team. The “monkey” can be anything from an uncomfortable conversation to a daunting task. Don’t just pass it off to someone else. Address it, come with a solution (not a problem), and move on. The more “monkeys” on your back, the more you and your team can get weighed down.

What strategies can you use to capitalize on opportunities in sports?
Networking is key and building relationships is at the core of it. I view networking as an investment, instead of strictly transactional. It takes time and energy, while being very intentional. I try to bring something of value to the connection each and every time. I find it easier for me if I go into each interaction with the mindset of “how can we help each other”. It may not be an immediate answer, but it opens myself up to find commonality with others.
