Plan and lead single and multi-day hikes, backpacking and camping trips into wilderness areas surrounding Denver as part of the Park Wilderness ministry.

Spent time and lent expertise to guide the development of individuals (the mentee) by creating a relationship built to develop confidence and support them so they are able to take control of their own development and work. Helped and supported the mentee's professional development by providing guidance and information to gain knowledge, acquire skills and develop a plan to reach their goals. I mentored 4 individuals with each mentoring session lasting approximately 6 months.

Author of the "Learning From Experience with..." column featuring interviews with global thought leaders in the improvement, quality and leadership fields. The column was a recurring article in the division's periodic ezine. I also reviewed articles for publication and submitted presentations for the annual Lean & Six Sigma Conference and the World Conference on Quality & Improvement.

Served as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) helping develop, create and review ASQ educational modules, i.e., Introduction to Lean, 5S, Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, A3, etc... and certifications, CMQ/OE

Determined whether shoes were able to be used in Africa, marked the sizes on the shoes and placed a rubber band around them. Placed the shoes by size and gender into larger boxes for transportation and sealed the boxes with the proper documentation before shipment to Africa.

Hosted and organized the Lean portion of the annual ASQ Lean and Six Sigma Conference in Phoenix, AZ and coordinated the review and submission of papers for presentation at the conference for the conference's first 10 years. Served as the first Chairman of the Program Advisory Committee which advises on the development of the technical program (theme, keynotes, etc...) for the conference.

Served as a Group Leader for the smaller break out sessions usually leading the "New to job search" group. AIso served on the Leadership team helping direct and plan out the monthly meetings for 3 years.

Assisted the Coach in presenting the "Effective Communications & Human Relations/Skills For Success" Class

Member of the leadership team that created the Lean Enterprise Division from the Lean Enterprise Forum in 2006 and helped organize the inaugural Lean & Six Sigma Conference in 2007 with the Six Sigma Forum. Assisted the Coach in presenting the "Effective Communications & Human Relations/Skills For Success" Class

Served as an Examiner working on a team assigned to a Healthcare applicant. Evaluated the applicant on all phases of the Baldrige Criteria evaluation including the production of the feedback report and an on-site visit. Fulfilled the Examiner requirement of an advanced understanding of the Baldrige Criteria and the application process.

Led the Technology Committee achieving a balanced budget for the first time while meeting the school's growing technology needs and served as Secretary of the School Board for 2 years.
