This helps you get to the underbelly of what’s really going on. Communication matters. It can fix things or mess them up. By truly hearing your team and getting where they're coming from, you start to rebuild the lost trust. Then, let them know you’re grateful! Tell them their hard work and time mean the world to you. Let them know that you have their back and be honest with them when things don't go their way. Trust takes time. Celebrate the wins together and always say thanks for their hard work.

Embracing change can feel daunting but in this fast-paced world, adaptability isn't just valuable - it's essential. Let the stories of Polaroid and Blockbuster serve as stark reminders of what happens when we resist evolution. This doesn't mean we should fear change. Rather, it's an opportunity to embrace change and align with the future. Personally, I believe that letting go of outdated strategies is the first step towards discovering how much more we can achieve. Growth never comes from comfort - it comes from pushing, pulling, stretching, and discomfort. Find connections to your core values within the new change that allows you to remain at the forefront and lead!

Flexibility is not just a trait but a necessity for any leader. Especially in an industry that challenges your personal style. To achieve longevity, one should embrace the importance of flexibility and adaptability. Businesses pivot to stay relevant, and so should we. In my opinion, embracing flexibility makes for a more well-rounded leader who can adapt but yet still bring key learnings and innovation.

A great quality in a leader is to seek feedback. I'm fast to admit that I don't have all the answers. No one does! But by seeking feedback from my team, colleagues, etc, we can improve and grow. Seeking feedback doesn't show weakness, on the contrary it shows true strength.

In my experience things work best when leaders acknowledge their mistakes and admit to being human - mistakes are part of life. By humanizing yourself as a leader, you can do more than fix errors, you build trust. Trust is a hugely important factor for success.

Setting clear goals and understanding each member's role is vital, especially in remote work. I believe It all starts with the big picture, showing how each person's efforts contribute to the company's success. This approach not only motivates but also clarifies the importance of every task. Next, roles must be defined with precision, highlighting the impact of each individual's work on the broader team and company goals. Regular check-ins, outside of Agile ceremonies, keep the team aligned, while openness to feedback invites valuable insights, making goals more attainable. I believe this strategy ensures everyone moves in harmony, creating a cohesive and effective remote work environment.
