You’re designing a new car. How can you ensure it will last for years to come?
Minimize the need to re-engineer/re-tool as much of the base platform as possible. - Good example: Class 8 tractors, which use the same platform and cab architecture for (literally) decades... not the same as a passenger car, perhaps, but it's a lesson that can be leveraged to find opportunities in passenger car, as well Co-opt as much as you can, component-wise from other (preferrably high volume, though not necessarily the case) products. - Good example is how many different applications of HEMI V8 Chrysler/Cerberus/FCA/Stellantis found, resulting in an amazingly profitable engine choice (and enabling variations as varied as the base 5.7L and the supercharged Demon 6.2L, among others)

Environment
Taking a long view of the health of the watershed, HRWC surveys all of the various tributaries associated with the Huron River (over 100 miles long, itself, from it's headwaters to it's terminus in Lake Erie), annually. It has accumulated a long-term trend analysis of the health of this system.
Work of volunteers extends to surveying streams (water quality, depth/width/flow, bank ecosystems, wildlife).
A great way to do something with your son or daughter, as well!
