“I worked with Devin at Clay. In a matter of weeks I watched Devin skyrocket in her technical understanding of Clay's platform and tech stack. Devin combines a growing technical expertise with excellent soft skills in how she communicates, manages tasks, and provides feedback. She has an assertive and straightforward personality that inspires trust and makes her easy to work with. Her feedback shows a perceptiveness beyond her years. She focuses on what matters: build something great with the customer in mind. I believe Devin will be successful in whatever she chooses to do.”

On Tuesday November 27th, Tech@NYU partnered with Gallatin students Devin Lewtan ('20) & Lila Rimalovski (’19) to talk ethics with successful Gallatin alums in the tech industry. The panel, called “Question the Present, Design the Future” was an opportunity for students both interested in technology or fearful of the effects to investigate the positive and negative outcomes of technology in an interdisciplinary approach. Panelists discussed topics and trend in the technology ecosystem such as broken systems that need disruption, inadvertent biases in design, and the effects of technology on younger generations. After the discussion, attendees broke off into smaller groups to discuss ethical dilemmas that have surfaced in the past year and brainstorm solutions. Some examples of group topics included 'Freedom of Speech on Social Media', 'Discrimination in Search & Recognition’, and 'Misusing Location Technologies’.
