    • Particle distribution on egg shell is analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and ImageJ software
    • Natural frequency of the shell is estimated by series of Laser Doppler Vibrometer (LDV) experiments. This enabled the determination of other mechanical properties of the shell like Young’s Modulus.
    • 3D-modelling of the shell is done using 3D-scanner and SolidWorks software…

    • Fresh water diatoms are cultured in media of varying salt concentrations keeping other conditions constant.
    • Viability of nitzschia palea in each salt-environment, their rate of growth, clustering patterns was analyzed using electron microscope, haemocytometer and digital cell counter.
