Structure-Function Relationship of a hen egg-shell

Achievements:
• Particle distribution on egg shell is analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and ImageJ software
• Natural frequency of the shell is estimated by series of Laser Doppler Vibrometer (LDV) experiments. This enabled the determination of other mechanical properties of the shell like Young’s Modulus.

Achievements:

Physicochemical response of fresh water diatoms to salt stress

Achievements:
• Fresh water diatoms are cultured in media of varying salt concentrations keeping other conditions constant.
• Viability of nitzschia palea in each salt-environment, their rate of growth, clustering patterns was analyzed using electron microscope, haemocytometer and digital cell counter.Other creators -
