The purpose is to illustrate a variety of private equity real estate strategies across the various property types. Our goal is to provide a structured approach to active strategy. The process includes researching ideas and markets, forecasting, constructing and implementing strategies and portfolios and observing and refining their effectiveness. Beyond describing the process, we hope to provide a set of strategic concepts and rules of thumb that broadly guide this process. We have written this book from the perspective of the active manager of institutional assets, separate accounts and private investors.
