How can you quickly improve your product knowledge in Service Operations?
One thing that I found to be helpful is to engage in categorization studies. This is a sampling profile of all the major players in that category. Analysis of the packaging technologies being used can provide great insight into how that company thinks in regards to packaging and their product. Leaders use packaging technology enhance their shelf presence, and engage current and new customers. Engaging in market place analysis can separate leader from players in a product category.

What are some effective techniques for managing project timelines across departments?
Ensuring that you understand your suppliers and contractors time lines, they have to get commitments from their own suppliers. Understand the total logistics, as well as open and honest communications, will help keep all parties on the same page. This team work will ensure scheduling and resources allotments. Success is in the details, and on scoping out the project correctly.

What's the best way to define and monitor project deliverables?
I agree, clear goals and understanding the pathway to the completion of the project is very important. Checks, data and updates will allow all involved to clearly understand where we are in terms of deliverables. There will be issues and unforeseen obstacles, as this will always be part of the challenge. Communication and collaboration will be a key part in completing the mission.

PET Splash container, this included new vacuum panel technology, design concepts and FEA evaluations to achieve maximum visual appeal and container performance. Working with operations, marketing, purchasing and supplier to bring saving and operational improvement online under the timeline and under budget.
