I continue to volunteer as the instructor for presentation skills. I prepare middle and high school students enrolled in a school year-long program at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy to present their business in "shark tank" style to a panel judges for investment dollars. Local entrepreneurs can get involved as judges, mentors, speakers, partners, and sponsors. I highly recommend being part of this effort to prepare our next generation of leaders and business owners to enter the market.

I'm so pleased to be working on the HeadTrash sequel, being created especially for students preparing to enter the workforce. The first book was written for corporate professionals and released in May to a very positive response. The term HeadTrash was coined by authors Tish Squillaro and Tim Thomas after years of coaching executives who make business decisions on a daily basis. HeadTrash refers to the thought patterns and emotional tendencies that hinder one’s ability to respond to business issues in a productive and professional way. The book helps professionals to make the most of their strong and weak points in the workplace. It was a natural next step to bring this topic to students as they enter the world of work. HeadTrash is presented in an engaging and dynamic exchange with students beginning with a short index to determine where students score on their relationship with control, insecurity, paranoia, anger, fear, guilt and arrogance. The learning is focused on how those emotions can effect decision making with tools and tips provided to effectively navigate typical work scenarios when HeadTrash is at play.

These technologies have already transformed banking, aviation, and entertainment allowing each to grow, provide higher-quality products, lower costs and provide consumers with greater choice. Faced with spiraling costs, increased demands and decreasing resources, healthcare desperately needs to catch up. But innovation alone does not equal adoption and use, especially in healthcare. https://pathhealth.com/membership/
