Podcasting as an art is growing, yet, surprisingly, many people still do not even know what podcasting is. Well, that is what this new documentary hopes to change. The Messengers: A Podcasting Documentary. The film follows around several popular figures in the podcasting community, including the founder of the aforementioned Gamertag Radio, and Podcasting Hall of Fame inductee, Danny Peña.

Danny Peña has been podcasting for last 10+ years and has a ton of experience to bring to the table. He is the founder and host of GamerTagRadio and has received international media attention from Forbes, Gamespot, IGN, Wall Street Journal, and more. He also won the Microsoft MVP award both in ’05 and ’09 and hosted the first gaming show for Discovery Channel Latin America.

Before he had a successful podcast with millions of downloads, an induction to the Podcast Hall of Fame, a feature in Forbes Magazine and a deal with Playit, a CBS affiliated company, Danny “Godfree” Peña was just an 80’s kid playing his Atari 2600, gifted to him by his grandmother. His introduction to the world of gaming captured his imagination and interest and instantly cemented a place in his heart.

“I want to give a shout-out to Jennifer, the love of my life,” Peña said, referring to his girlfriend, Jennifer Diaz, who believed in his potential when he started his business more than 10 years ago.

After laughing at a few jokes, the crowd went silent when Peña talked about his earliest supporter, who is now battling cancer. Peña dedicated the award to Trixie, holding high the slender glass trophy adorned with a star that he was just given, tears in his eyes.

The event was also used to induct a number of famous podcasters from the community into the Academy’s Hall of Podcasting Fame. These honorees included Danny Pena of Gamertag Radio, Todd Cochrane of Geek News Central and Blubrry, Leo Laporte of TWIT.TV and This Week in Tech, Mur Lafferty of Geek Fu Action Grip and Angry Robot Podcast, Scott Sigler of Earthcore, Podshow and podiobooks.com, and Adam Curry of No Agenda, MTV and Daily Source Code.

Xbox marketing head Aaron Greenberg has revealed that no one is currently working on the game. In an interview with Gamertag Radio, Greenberg said that the game does not have a developer, although it has not been officially canceled.

Apparently, integrating that feature back into the Xbox One is still a priority for Xbox head Phil Spencer. He was fairly straightforward in an interview with Gamertag radio recently, and while he didn't provide a timeframe for bringing back sharing, it certainly seems like a distinct possibility

We've seen it before, and now we're seeing it again. Another multiplatform game, in this case Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, performs with less impressive technical statistics on the Xbox One. In a long podcast with Gamertag radio, Microsoft MSFT -1.75% Director of Product Planning Albert Penello touched on some of those controversial topics for which his platform has been getting so much flak.

"To be honest, I didn't even think they were there," partygoer Mark Washington told us. "[Unico's] presence was not even recognized by anyone in attendance."

Gamertag Radio posted video of a Saudi TV interview with a Microsoft vendor. “Project Natal will be launched in Saudi Arabia on the same [garbled] that it will be launched in the world,” Syed Bilal Tariq says in the video. “That is going to be sometime in October.”

Microsoft's Project Natal - a video game system that reads body movement and doesn't require remote controls - will go on sale in October, according to a video interview posted on the website Gamertag Radio.

Now, Project Natal has been confirmed for October launch by Marketing Manager E&D Microsoft Saudi Syed Bilal Tariq in an interview with GamertagRadio. "It is going to be somewhere in October. We will be in a position to confirm the date at E3, which is in June, but definitely it is going to be October 2010," he said.
