Activities and Societies: During my time at Louisiana State University, I was fortune to learn from amazing mentors including Dr. Nikhil Dhurandhar, Dr. Roy Martin, Dr. Carol Lammi-Keefe, Dr. Frank Greenway and many others. I conducted my research in basic science, at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, studying the effects of adenoviral protein E4orf-1 on glucose metabolism. Based on that work, an analog of E4-orf-1 is now being developed as a potential anti-diabetic medication.

The effectiveness of breakfast recommendations on weight loss: a randomized controlled trial

See publicationA recommendation to eat or skip breakfast for weight loss was effective at changing self-reported breakfast eating habits, but contrary to widely espoused views this had no discernable effect on weight loss in free-living adults who were attempting to lose weight.
