    The luxury Chinese consumer, was a key area of strategic focus for Burberry right through to present day. The objective was two fold, firstly to identify the key challenges for developing and operating an eCommerce business in China and secondly to address the subtle nuances found within Chinese eCommerce sites usability and purchase flow.
    We built a focused team and analysed user behaviour , industry technology trends and partnered with AWS for internal hosting to combat some of the major performance challenges we faced. It has been an amazing learning opportunity to delve deeper into this important luxury consumer and to gain a new found understanding for the large improvements that can be brought about when you fully understand your customer.
    We operated the project across five locations London, Budapest, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Shenzhen with an iterative Agile approach. Core team members made up of a BA, PM, UX, Design and a Full stack Dev team, leading the roadmap as a team and learning from each other to ensure the best quality product was released in our two week release cycle.
    The team launched the site in March 2016 and delivered a full redesign of the entire site by November 2016. This required extensive rapid prototyping, review, spec, develop process while in parallel dropping new features and functionality into the production site.

    KPI's:
    * Site performance improved from an average 42 second page load to 9 seconds
    * Conversion improvements up 40%
    * Localised content and targeted UI
    * Fully API driven responsive site hosted within AWS China
