When I began my term as chair, he had developed processes and procedures over the years for managing our ISRMP Education in ISRMP that thoroughly impressed me. This brings consistency, as organization chairs rotate, and helps each of us to start our term running, rather than scrambling to orient ourselves. He brings true professional attributes to ISRMP and genuinely cares about delivering excellent quality work. He strives to integrate both an understanding of the big picture strategy and goals (for the training centers, for the ISRMP), as well as attention to details. He took the initiative to figure out what the area needed with minimal guidance from me, and then delivered on the task as well. For example, in supporting our organization accreditations, he has collaborated with other organizational committees as a team member and found creative ways to support the vision of development of ISRMP programs forward for RMP and PA-RM levels. ERIC easily develops and fosters relationships with faculty, doctoral/Paramedic/EMTs students, and our guests. He actively participates in meetings and events; his participation enables his to understand the organization’ implicit needs and initiate ideas to support our efforts. “I met Eric in 2020 while running the Wilderness Expedition Dentistry and Facial Trauma course for World Extreme Medicine. Eric had just started his Masters in Extreme Medicine. It was immediately apparent that he had a wealth of experience and phenomenal leadership skills. However, what actually made him stand out was allowing other less experienced participants to take on the leadership reigns and gently encourage, assist and motivate them. His enthusiasm to learn, improve and add to his growing knowledge bank was persistently evident. In the Masters programme he took on the module of Wilderness Expedition Dentistry. His thirst for hands on training, getting it right and persistent phenomenal hard work was gratifying and stimulating to me as a module lead. It was at this stage when he invited me to join Team5 foundation mission to Nepal. You can truly know a person when out on a mission. His goal as a mission lead (and founder) was to get medical treatment to patients who needed it the most. Nothing was going to stop him achieving that goal. No problem too big, no road too bad, no structure too unsuitable. He showed his mastery in adaption, problem solving and single-minded dedication to getting the job done and at the same time looking after the safety, security and the wellbeing of the team. He is one of the few people, whose dedication has so stimulated me that I’ve actually changed my contractual working hours to join him and Team5 providing medical care in remote areas. ”
