It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.

As Post Historian and Chair of both the MLK Breakfast and Scholarships Committees, leading fellow Legionnaires in the planning and execution of multiple community service projects. Founded by 18 African American veterans returning from racially segregated units after World War II, the Dowling Post has been a mainstay of service to the area since 1945.

The mission of NPVB&GCs is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

Beginning as Chair of the Ambler Area Boys & Girls Club Organizing Committee in 2008, led the public-private partnership that is now building a brand new, $12 million clubhouse in West Ambler to serve all our kids, especially those who need us most.

From 2007-2009 was the Founding Co-Chair of the BoRit Asbestos Area Community Advisory Group (BoRit CAG) which remains a diverse cross-section of 26 government and community stakeholders advising USEPA and other agencies on the cleanup of a 38-acre 'Superfund' site straddling Ambler, Upper Dublin, and Whitpain with Lower Gwynedd and Whitemarsh just yards away.
