The purpose of the Governmental Affairs Committee is (1) to foster good relations among and between business and elected and/or appointed government officials on the local, state and federal levels; (2) to monitor and make recommendations to the Board of Directors for action upon specific legislative issues on behalf of the business community; and (3) to lay the groundwork for orderly economic growth and visionary change for the community. To educate and promote awareness about marrow donation and the importance of joining the Be The Match Registry®.
To support the “Get in the Game, Save a Life” initiative by organizing nationwide college campus opportunities for people to join the Registry.
To raise funds to offset the cost of the “Get in the Game, Save a Life” donor registry drives, as well as to financially support Be The Match.

When I took over as President, just 5 years ago PACS was working out of a 3,600 sq ft building, I envisioned more, a better way to serve those who are struggling with food insecurity and was able to lead the board to sell the property and purchase a new 23,700 sq ft. location. PACS has grown fiscally as well as physically. When I took over in 2017 the annual expenses of $248,960 were not being met by donations and grants, the organization was operating at a loss. When I took over as President, just 5 years ago PACS was working out of a 3,600 sq ft building, I envisioned more, a better way to serve those who are struggling with food insecurity and was able to lead the board to sell the property and purchase a new 23,700 sq ft. location. PACS has grown fiscally as well as physically. When I took over in 2017 the annual expenses of $248,960 were not being met by donations and grants, the organization was operating at a loss. This year PACS is projected to meet its expenses of nearly $5.5 million. It’s through Fred’s leadership that the board took many risks including change of leadership, narrowing mission, and change in location so PACS is able to meet the food needs of 45,000 people annually in the greater Phoenixville region. Anyone who needs food is welcome, no questions asked to receive groceries. Food insecurity is something that more than 10% of American experience each year. Show less

I spearheaded the campaign to turn an alley on Bridge ST into the Phoenixville Children’s Plaza so that there would be a location for entertainment and community for families in the area.

Under my leadership the Chamber began working with the Borough on First Fridays, keeping them alive. During my time as President I hired a new director to take the Chamber into the future.
