What do you do if your team is not understanding your strategy?
If you feel that your team doesn't understand your strategy despite clear communications, you might not be dealing with a lack of understanding. It might just be that your team does not have confidence in your strategy. This could be because the strategy is built off of assumptions instead of reality. This also could be because team members have tried that strategy out and it hasn't worked in the past. It could also be that there are gaps in logic team members are aware of that should be addressed. Also, if your strategy is too tactical, it might come off as micromanaging, rather than a strategy to dive efficiency and effectiveness. So know that if people aren't understanding, it could be because there's something you're missing.

What do you do if your passion for strategy isn't evident during an interview?
The best way to make sure your strategic approach is highlight is by starting off with company objectives BEFORE getting into tactics. What were the company objectives? How did that translate to your role? What were the monthly or quarterly checkpoints you needed to hit to drive the company objectives forward? And how did you do against that? When you start off from a company objectives level, that might be exactly what's needed to highlight your strategic focus.

How do you leverage BANT to create value and urgency for your prospects?
I’d argue that BANT is outdated model for most organizations, especially those with or shifting towards an outbound sales motion. Most, if not all buyers need to sell internally to get budget and if a seller qualifies or disqualifies due to a lack of budget from the onset of a deal, that seller runs the risk of overlooking the process of developing an opportunity. There are also new approaches of prospecting and selling needed to adjust to decisions made by a committee of buyers. Using authority alone can leave a seller exposed and vulnerable to detractors of change if they rely solely on BANT as the guiding force of qualification and opportunity management.
