    Founded in 1971, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Golden Gate has approximately 400 active members. Local chapter members are San Francisco Bay Area professionals, including development and communications leaders, executive directors, associates, managers, consultants, coaches, and board members. AFP empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research, and advocacy. Internationally, AFP has over 200 chapters…

    Founded in 1971, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Golden Gate has approximately 400 active members. Local chapter members are San Francisco Bay Area professionals, including development and communications leaders, executive directors, associates, managers, consultants, coaches, and board members. AFP empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research, and advocacy. Internationally, AFP has over 200 chapters representing over 30,000 fundraisers who raise billions of dollars a year for good causes in their community. I co-chair our local IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) Annual Fellowship for Black, Brown, and queer fundraisers.

    Development Executives Roundtable (DER) is an all volunteer-run agency was founded in the 1960’s by Henry A. “Hank” Rosso, one of the early leaders in the fundraising field. DER builds thriving organizations and communities by helping nonprofit professionals teach the joy of giving, providing accessible training and peer support for Bay Area fundraisers at all stages of their careers. I was their Board President in 2008 and 2009.
