When creating a brand reputation, it's incredibly helpful to understand what is a key factor in a brand reputation - is it positive or negative reviews online or is it word-of-mouth locally or nationally? Being quickly responsive to others when they have comments, questions or concerns is also helpful for positively impacting your brand's reputation because it leads to more clients and customers in the long run. Each good comment that you make back to a client will help affirm that you're responsive, decisive and dedicated to your audience. Understanding the factors that you'll measure first will help with determining overall success of a greater campaign.

Hire a local cultural consultant for the area that you're attempting to target. This is one of the easiest instant ways to develop your brand in a new market. If you understand the nature of the new geographical target area then you can find the right market for your audience and you'll be able to clearly talk about your interests with them in an intelligent and interesting way. Different countries and people have different typical lifestyles and ways they go about their daily lives. This may affect their purchasing habits and how they go about interacting with various brands in their lives. Adapting and being flexible is the most helpful to growing your brand overseas and in various markets.

Be aligned with your influencer's interests and goals. Finding the right influencers or brand ambassadors requires you to segment them out by persona type and what they focus on. If they don't focus on areas related to your brand, they won't be an effective or useful hire for your brand. For example, finding an influencer who understands luxury cars would be helpful for an upscale car brand but that same person may be less useful for a brand focused on pet food.

Understanding your audience is incredibly helpful for when you are trying to build your brand - having others in your audience affirm your personal brand will be incredibly helpful to outsiders who are also considering if they should work with you over someone else instead. So asking for recommendations or referrals from your peers may be incredibly helpful to building your personal brand over someone else. Indeed, understanding this may be helpful for growing a presence.

AHYBR - Always Have Your Bio Ready. You should have a long (2-3 paragraph) and short (1-3 sentences) long bio that you can share for any pitch or PR request. In addition, whenever you are pitching an outside source (a podcast or a publication), make sure that you've read at least 3 of the articles or listened to a few of the podcasts so you have a general understanding of ton and objective and you can explain how you best fit into what they are already trying to accomplish. Having samples of other podcasts that you've guested on or other writing is also helpful for those that you're talking to, to see your skills in action.

While internal Twitter Analytics tools should always be your first go-to (as they should be the most accurate for basic data), it's helpful to have outside tools that you use as well. I use either Agorapulse or Hootsuite with clients and find that having a 3rd party management tool with all my social media platforms is useful as a backup tool while provided a more well-rounded picture of different analytics that may not be available on the internal Twitter analytics page.
