- Direct monthly board meetings including purposeful agendas that encourage board engagement in collaboration with the executive director.
- Lead the External Affairs Committee, creating and executing an annual plan in order to promote awareness, drive donations, on-board corporate sponsors, and enlist volunteers.
- Develop and maintain relationships and communication with funders, corporate sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Plan and execute Rebuilding Day every April, organizing over one thousand volunteers across the county to complete home repair projects for over thirty households in need.
- Approve annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Review outcomes and metrics from Rebuilding Together’s annual strategic plans for evaluating its impact, and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics. Show less

Rebuilding Together is the nation’s largest non-profit organization which brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners in Howard County, Maryland. Since 1992, more than 700 houses in Howard County have received free home repairs.
