    For BigRed\\Hacks 2017 (Theme: Education), we created a XAMPP-based web application which took a photo of handwritten notes along with a person's phone number, then texting a helpful video tutorial from YouTube to the person's number in order to give them a faster, more empowering, and distraction-free way of searching through social media to find important and relevant content.

    For BigRed\\Hacks 2017 (Theme: Education), we created a XAMPP-based web application which took a photo of handwritten notes along with a person's phone number, then texting a helpful video tutorial from YouTube to the person's number in order to give them a faster, more empowering, and distraction-free way of searching through social media to find important and relevant content.

    In the design process, we used HTML, CSS, and PHP to extract information from the front-end and used Python scripts to coordinate the different packages, APIs, and toolkits used and deliver the end result. We used the Microsoft Azure Computer Vision API for converting images to text, an open-source natural language processing toolkit for extracting relevant keywords, a Convolutional Neural Network built through Keras for matching these keywords to relevant YouTube links through the YouTube API, and the Twilio API for sending these links to the given phone number via. text.

    In doing so, we won Best Technical Feat at BigRed\\Hacks 2017, an MLH-sponsored hackathon, and we became finalists in the process.
