I had the fortune of working with Imani on a series of product designs over the course of about two years during her time at VITAL. Her ability to simultaneously manage a highly complex, amorphous program of design and delivery whilst bringing a clear, beautifully realized aesthetic to her design choices made her critical to the success of the resulting products. The particular program of work we partnered on involved multiple teams, working across a diverse range of trades and expertise, within multiple different vendors. Throughout, Imani was able to marshal all the different parties to successful delivery effectively, whilst also navigating the inevitable politics that arise in any large, cross-functional program. I cannot emphasize enough the value, rigor, momentum and fun Imani brought to our work together and her presence is very missed already.
