1 Million Cups is a free, national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee.

Events & Programs Committee
THIS COMMITTEE IS THE GO-TO FOR EVENT PLANNING WITH THE CHAMBER.

This committee plans and executes events that the GBCC hosts such as the Annual Dinner, Golf Classic, and Taste of the Chamber.

This committee also helps with GBCC programs such as Business After Hours. This committee is run by one chairperson and a GBCC staff member.

Techstars Startup Weekend is the place to look for a team, create a prototype of your idea, validate your business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.

The role of the CARE Committee is to relay opportunities for improvement to existing employers, generate new growth opportunities for local industry, advocate for a robust entrepreneurial environment, strengthen the workforce pipeline, and increase awareness and participation in continuous improvement business programs.

Thinker Ventures is a Google Partner, hosting the Google Partners Connect Event about digital marketing. Businesses are invited to learn directly from Google about the value of digital marketing through the use of video. As a Google Partner, Thinker can help businesses maximize online advertising.

Volunteered during EIGERlab's annual FastPitch competition. Entrepreneurs in all phases of business from pre-startup, just an idea on a napkin to companies that have been in business or plan to expand with a new service or product have an opportunity to pitch their concept.

I supported the Wisconsin Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance by raising money to contribute to the (Green County)Alzheimer's Walk in the fall of 2012. I helped raise $1,177 for my team.
