“I first met Jake as we were ramping up for our biggest year yet at Slingshot. I was managing the implementation team that often worked around the clock. Jake was the new guy coming on board as the VP of Sales to build out the sales team and give it structure. He was also tasked to lead his team to hit some very aggressive goals. Needless to say, me and Jake became good friends and battle buddies because it was the year that Slingshot was acquired by WorkWave. We were successful that year because of people like Jake. Anytime I went to him with concerns from an implementation standpoint, he was quick to get with his team to see how they could fine tune the sales process to help us downstream. Any person or organization that gets to have Jake around will thrive and that's just the way it is. The entire company, full teams of people, processes, and products all improved because of Jake. I also gained a friend who I hope to keep for a long time. As I parted ways with the company, Jake continued to mentor me and did all he could that I showed up to my next role/company with the right tools in my belt. If you're trying to do big things, you need Jake.”
