“Jainil took on a challenging intern project which is to add custom logic to condition card for Composer. He is able to set up both the frontend and backend locally and onboarded fast to the full-stack technology. He is proactive in reaching out to people to unblock himself, ask the right questions and push projects forward. He also participated in engineering Hackathon project and contributed to the wining team. He went above and beyond by reaching out to the customers to demo new features and collect feedbacks. Jainil is a quick learner and stay open for constructive feedback. The team enjoyed working with him and is impressed by his aptitude and impact he is able to make in a short period of time. Jainil is great addition to the team and we look forward to working with him more in the future.”

Computer Science Mentors
- 5 months
Education
I was a senior mentor for CS 61C: Great Ideas in Computer Architecture (Machine Structures). I taught 1-hour small-group sections for every week. In addition, I guided junior mentors as part of weekly check-ins. Finally, I helped develop and maintain course material.
Previously, I served in senior and junior mentor roles for EECS 16A: Designing Information Devices and Systems I. -

Education
I taught CS105: Automate the Boring Stuff with Python, a course based on its namesake book that covered the fundamentals of building Python projects. Over the course of 4 weeks, I introduced 40+ high-school students to Python and taught them how to write scripts to organize files, scrape the web, update spreadsheets, and fill out forms.

Multimodal Log Database
I contributed to the development of dp3, a database with a novel approach to managing multimodal log data. dp3 enables low-latency playback, time series analytics, and multigranular summarization of log data, all within a single system. I added support for range deletion of messages, logical data truncation, and reverse time-ordered traversal of messages.

Secure File Sharing System
-
I developed an end-to-end encrypted file management system in Go. The app featured secure support for user authentication, file storage and retrieval, and file sharing and revocation. My implementation ranked 1st in a class of 650 students.

Search for MuleSoft Composer
-
I helped develop CompoSearch, a search feature for MuleSoft Composer that enables data lineage by allowing users to find references to any data pill in their flow. CompoSearch was awarded the Best Customer Value Hack at the MuleSoft Product Hackathon '22.
I also organized a community feedback session and demoed CompoSearch live to customers. With the positive feedback we received, I was able to successfully advocate for CompoSearch's inclusion in Composer's product roadmap.Other creators -
Food Delivery Web App
-
I launched a full-stack web app that evaluates food orders against custom heuristics and displays trending orders. The web app was built with Flask and PostgreSQL, styled with Materialize CSS, and deployed with Heroku.
-
Version Control System
-
I created a Java-based implementation of a distributed version control system (VCS). I implemented remote functionality alongside core VCS features (e.g. commit, checkout, merge).
-
Cardiovascular Disease Classifier
-
I developed a cardiovascular disease classifier using PCA and SVMs that achieved an accuracy of >95%. I analyzed multiple heart disease datasets using basic exploratory data analysis techniques and visualized trends with Seaborn and Plotly.
