How can you effectively manage customer expectations when designing a service operations strategy?
Working with “customers” you need to remember they are individuals. No two minds fit in the same box when it comes to working with the public. Each situation is unique and needs to be approached with that mindset. Nobody wants a cookie cutter resolution. Be able to check your personal feelings at the door because “some” customers see you as the company they’re having the conflict with, not the human being trying to survive pay check to paycheck. Give yourself Grace and learn to accept that not every situation can be solved.
