I started as a Regional and Comparative Studies major, studying economic development and globalization in Southeast Asia. I took a course on migration patterns in Southeast Asia, where I had a deeper appreciation for culture's role in society. I switched my major halfway through my junior year to study Culture and Politics, allowing me to have a deep sociological understanding of social and cultural structures through studying global history and politics.

I started as a Regional and Comparative Studies major, studying economic development and globalization in Southeast Asia. I took a course on migration patterns in Southeast Asia, where I had a deeper appreciation for culture's role in society. I switched my major halfway through my junior year to study Culture and Politics, allowing me to have a deep sociological understanding of social and cultural structures through studying global history and politics.

I took many film and art classes and created several short films and a web series. I took several theory based courses on how film, art, and media correlate to politics, international affairs, and society. I created a few independent upper-level film and art classes to further my creative studies as this was not offered by the school. I also began taking Masters-level courses in my senior year.

I took Bahasa Indonesia classes at Columbia University and Johns Hopkins SAIS throughout college and hold advanced high proficiency. Show less
