Studies how the 1995 Football Team at Rice University would trade time spent studying football vs. time spent studying in the classroom. The study normalized for all variables including athletic ability and intelligence in order to see if the number of plays a athlete plays has any relationship with GPA. I found that it is statistically significant that there is a negative relationship between playing time and GPA supporting the notion that if one spends more time focused on football, they will play more and ultimately not be able to spend as much time on their academics resulting in a lower GPA. This study had a very small sample size of less than 70 people and there could have been many things that are unique to "Rice Football Players" vs. other football players.
