Narrative
Dayton Superior was currently hosting its own Disaster Recovery hardware – an expensive task creating extra admin overhead. This solution did not allow us to quickly expand in the event of a disaster; causing recovery time for post 24-hour applications to be weeks or even months. Without looking outside the company borders we risked not implementing the most up-to-date and cost effective disaster recovery solution available on the market.

Partner
Because we had an existing relationship with Immedion and they offered a great turnkey solution, we selected Immedion. Their solution offered Dayton Superior simplicity, agility, and flexibility. All of these were requirements for any option that provided a fully managed solution. Additionally, Immedion met our RPO/RTO requirements.

Limitations
The Immedion solution required a three-year commitment, which limited our options in the short term. However, we expect that other DRaaS services will mature in three years, and we will be better prepared internally to take advantage of the maturity if (hopefully not) necessary. Show less

The Technical Data Sheet system I designed allows our Product Managers to quickly and easily manage information relating to our products and generate a user friendly PDF that can be published on our website, emailed to a potential customer or consumed in any other PDF friendly manner.

Dayton Superior needed to revitalize their web presence. The platform was tired, the design was dated and the content was hidden behind layers of click after click. We engaged with a design firm and a development partner to completely revamp our corporate website. This enabled us to leverage a state of the art platform, create a fresh, modern design and make content and product much easier for our users to find.
