What can you learn from active listening to identify your customers' needs?
When meeting with new prospects, instead of trying to sell or 'push' the latest innovation offerings, I begin by asking what their top priorities are. I offer some new ideas to entice them, but then it's time to listen. Active listening to my customers and prospects often uncovers HIDDEN opportunities. It's those hidden gems that become the key to building a great relationship. When a customer feels heard, they will come to you more often with future needs or new opportunities.
