How can you maintain a positive attitude in difficult leadership situations?
Pause. Take a moment. Give yourself room to slow down, if even for just a few minutes. Then, consider the words of Jack Sparrow: "The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude about the problem." Difficult leadership situations are opportunities for growth. Don't overlook what can be learned from difficult situations by giving yourself room to consider all your options.

What skills should your sales team improve through training?
Discovery, discovery, discovery. Leveraging communication skills to ask the right questions and keep on asking questions is a key learning when sales coaching. Too many sales folks rush to provide "solutions" and "answers" without taking the time needed to understand a client and their needs. Take your time, relax, show the client they can trust you by the authentic questions you are asking, and let them arrive at the solution that you can provide. And, if you don't have a good fit, be the first person to say so: don't waste their time or yours! These are just some of the basic skills your sales team can improve through the right sales training.

How can you ask effective coaching questions?
Remember: coaching is not about you; coaching is about them! Asking questions is great. And, actually letting your coachees answer those questions is the most important part. I see too many coaches providing answers to the questions they ask! Don't do that! As coaches, we facilitate the learning and development that actually comes from our clients. Show them the door, let them walk through it.

What are the most effective strategies for identifying client needs in media sales?
Asking the right questions at the right time is a powerful way to get a client to relax and open up. And spending 90% of your time in discovery is time well spent for you and for your clients. How much time do you spend in discovery asking questions? If you are doing most of the talking, something is wrong, and you need to change your strategy. Your client needs to be doing 90% of the talking. Here are a few great questions to get clients talking: What challenges is your business facing at the moment? How have the changes in the market impacted your business? What are your business objectives for the next year? What are the most important outcomes you want to achieve(with our product/service)? How do you measure success in your business?
