Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the meeting and event industry’s largest and most vibrant global community, helps members thrive by providing human connections to knowledge and ideas, relationships, and marketplaces for meeting professionals in the Chicago Area. MPI membership is comprised of more than 23,000 members belonging to 71 chapters and clubs worldwide. Over 1,200 members strong, the Chicago Area Chapter is the largest chapter in MPI. In addition to its distinction in terms of membership size, dedication and involvement, the chapter is also one of the founding chapters and rich with industry history. ___ Membership Retention Committee Member (November 2012-February 2013) The purpose of the Membership Retention Committee is to retain existing members within the Chicago Area Chapter by educating new members on the benefits of MPI. We welcome new members to the Chapter through the Ambassador Program and encourage involvement in committees and at events. The Membership Retention Committee was awarded "Committee of the Year" at MPI's Awards Recognition Gala in June of 2013.' Holiday Party Committee Co-Chair (January 2014- current) The purpose of the Holiday Party Committee is to showcase MPI-CAC, raise money for MPI-CAC and the MPI Foundation, and create a comfortable and festive atmosphere for networking amongst industry colleagues. Members should be comfortable soliciting donations from fellow industry professionals for the giving tree/raffle/silent auction.
