You're preparing a motivational speech. How can you add humor without diluting the message?
Adding humor to a motivational speech can make your message more relatable and memorable. One effective way is to share a personal story with a touch of humor. For example, start with a light-hearted anecdote about a time you faced a challenge, but with a twist—like the time you confidently walked into a meeting, only to realize halfway through that you were at the wrong venue. These moments of vulnerability not only make you more relatable but also show that even in serious moments, it's okay to laugh at yourself. Just remember, the key is balance—use humor to support your message, not overshadow it!

How can you prioritize your tasks to develop a growth mindset?
1. Embrace challenges. View them as opportunities to learn and grow. Prioritize tasks that push you out of your comfort zone. 2. Create and maintain time by yourself to think to vision. Alone time is a time where your mind wanders and where creativity happens. 3. Prioritize continuous informal and formal learning. This will allow you to broaden your knowledge and skills and keep you sharp. 4. Always seek feedback and incorporate it.

The NYC Workforce Development Board (WDB) engages leaders from the private sector, public agencies, labor unions and community-based organizations – all volunteers appointed by the Mayor – to inform the City's policies and services for adult learners, jobseekers, and employers. The WDB is chartered by the federal government through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), and managed by the NYC Office of Workforce Development. The WDB conducts oversight of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (in PDF), or WIOA, allocations and sets broad priorities to help ensure that workforce initiatives successfully fulfill the Mayor's vision of a strong workforce development system. This vision includes three key components: 1. A strong linkage to economic development projects in all five boroughs 2. A tight connection with businesses to ensure their needs are met 3. Services that effectively and efficiently connect New Yorkers to jobs in demand
