The environmental studies curriculum is designed to provide students with the scholarly background and intellectual skills necessary to understand complex environmental problems and formulate ecologically sound solutions. The curriculum is interdisciplinary, drawing upon not only environmental studies faculty, but also the resources of a variety of environmentally related departments and disciplines at UCSB.
