Petty Officer Fung was the Lead Mission Distribution Coordinator for over 50 units, executing 350 fleet level exercises maximizing combat readiness for 10 Carrier Strike Groups and numerous U.S. and U.K. submarines. Petty Officer Fung performs his duties in exemplary and highly professional manner, resulting in two successful dual cruise missile tactical certifications, the safe onload and offload of over 200 missiles, and the first ever on load of standard missile-type 3 in the Far East area of operations. His management of the strike team’s library and required reading program was noted as outstanding by Afloat Training Group West Pacific. He successfully managed and retained all strike related classification material and verified that vital communication paths with the Commander, Far East Fleet and other Carrier Groups were maintained. His superb technical expertise and 1,800 hours of maintenance contributed to the outstanding mission readiness and reliability of the Tomahawk Weapon Control System.
