“This is a recommendation written in April, 2012, on behalf of Peter Johnson, who is currently a senior in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. He will receive his BS in AE in May, 2012. I have known Peter since September 2011, when I became his Alumni mentor. In my opinion, Peter is an incredibly hard worker, putting in many hours each week on study, projects & problem-solving to get good grades - grades achieved in a very difficult major at a very difficult school. His excellent time management skills allow him to both do well academically and have an on-campus job. Using prioritized to-do lists, he gets a lot done in a typical day. He is highly internally motivated; he enjoys doing a good job. Excellence of performance is its own reward. He doesn't need "external strokes" to maintain his high level of motivation. Peter is highly skilled in relating to others in positive ways. He is an out-going individual who genuinely likes people and who laughs and smiles a lot. He is definitely a team player. His EI (Emotional Intelligence) is exceptionally high. I see him to be a person of the highest ethical and moral standards. He is exceptionally honest, trustworthy, trusting and fair - and nurtures these qualities in his peers as well. Integrity is a big deal with Peter; when he says he will do something, he always does it - a characteristic of Peter's Myers-Briggs Personality Type (ENFJ). ENFJs are absolutely reliable in honoring their commitments. He has excellent communication skill. He is very articulate one-on-one and is a talented Public Speaker. His Leadership Ability is amazing! Peter has risen to the rank of Cadet Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol and has been chosen to be a Leader and Instructor in Georgia Tech's outdoor recreation program. His leadership style is warm & inclusive; people feel good about achieving the group’s goals under his guidance & direction.
