Offering support can be in the form of educating, literacy and information. Here's what I would do: 1. Always provide transparency and be relatable with stakeholders, because that is professional but also, just like them - you are a person with an interest. 2. Open the communication where they can ask you questions, references and/or past scenarios that you can share about to help them gain confidence amidst the process of change. 3. Offer additional support as a "just in case" for legal, business and/or financial advice from a third party who does not work with you directly. It will help stakeholders know that you have their best interest, one way or another.

Keep it 100% real. Communicate truth even if some parts are challenging or hard to hear. During the discussion(s), always find a pause or a moment to ask about how they feel, what are they thinking about, and ask them what can you do to make them more confident to believe that the changes will be good for them, and in trusting you to represent them. Also, take serious notes and reiterate to them what you heard, understood, and ask them to correct you if you missed anything from the discussion so that you can truly highlight the benefits for them. Be aware of what they are experiencing in all levels as they are facing a change - make it about people first.

To have an open mind, and to reflect on what you have understood from the stakeholders and form there, prepare fitting questions to ask that will enable a solid Q&A communication session, can help in furthering the discussions to lead to a positive outcome. More importantly, it can be a way to bridge trust, and build your credibility so when it comes down to sharing your added ideas, suggestions or recommendations, they can believe you have their best interest at hand. This can create more clarity, protocols and a standard of professionalism.

Be curious and turn that into “gaining experience” by attending workshops, conferences, and ask other real estate professionals coming from different fields of work about their experience and insight. Also assess your current skills and knowledge, enhance it by applying at job opportunities that will give you a diverse hands on experience through a spectrum of training opportunities such as sales, commercial finance, banking, or an appraisal company that will help you accelerate determining what’s for you. The Real Estate industry is a dynamic one, and it’s not the same exact steps or roles for everyone.

Age is a number and it can be a state of mind for many people. The bias or discrimination that can happen is not in our control. Therefore, one must focus on what they can control. Two examples: 1. Posture + Energy No one likes to be around someone who slouches, does not smile, or has no enthusiasm when talking. Work on posturing your body and mindset that when in a crowd or an individual setting you are showcasing confidence and a sense of security about yourself. 2. Equip + Position Yourself Continue learning through self-education like reading, workshops, conferences and mentors. This will help position you to be knowledgeable and always evolving intelligently, and the right fitting opportunities will be attracted to you.

Reflecting is key to creating a business life that does not compromise health, wellness, relationships and energy. How to structure and be productive with this is by getting a paper version of a journal, or start a Word Doc. ~ You can start writing down notes to yourself, or a way to just reflect and deflate at the end of each work day. Secondly, start a morning routine to allocate 30 - 45 mins. to write all your pressing thoughts, or issues you’re dealing with, and ideas on how you will handle them. It is a reflective, conscious approach to understand yourself better by seeing it written down, than just keep it in thoughts. Reflecting often can also help you plan your next five moves, like PBD wrote in his book. It can unlock wisdom.
