Realities are subjective… and that is why being a human that interacts with other humans is so awesome. If you want to refine your skills then you need to be open to the feedback of those you are working with and possibly selling to. You must put your ego aside and be open to hearing constructive criticism… While feedback is great, remember it is subjective to their experience and version of what the situation appears as. So don’t feel the need to apply all feedback given, be discerning. You will find the most growth when you are able to hear feedback and decide how to best apply it to YOU! Notice trends amongst feedback from multiple sources and if you see a recurring theme, maybe take that into stronger consideration! Good luck!

Most companies have a main value proposition then a few other adjacent ones that build the over all brand. Often times, what value you provide to a customer depends largely on the customer’s “paint points” or “needs”. The best way to understand those are by ASKING QUESTIONS!! Don’t offer a solution your customer doesn’t need… instead, get to know how you can help and if your “value proposition” can pose as a solution for their current pains. You’d be surprised how many sales people are eager to “show up and throw up” aka spew off a line card without even slowing down to ask “what the customer needs” or “how/if they can be or help”… The rest will come naturally! Something I heard a while ago that stuck with me, is that your goal should be that "your presentation is the best part of someone's day". Ever since then I focus more on my engagement with the audience and I aim to read their body language in real time to see if they are engaged!
