“Jason is an established Design Sprint Facilitator in my experience. He was my associate during Global Virtual Design Sprint and it was a delight working with Jason. He was very considerate while he mentored me being a co-facilitator. Moreover, he always went the extra mile to shepherd the remote teams, as well as worked extra hard to bring consensus with a highly energetic team. Our GVDS team was successful, mainly due to the professional way Jason facilitated the process. I am looking forward to joining Jason for the next GVDS. ”

What are some effective ways to gain leadership experience outside of work?
Become a youth sports coach. By doing so, you are having a positive impact on your community, but you are also mentoring young athletes. This allows you to flex your leadership muscle by properly planning and working with people to hold them accountable while helping them achieve their individual goals. As a football coach for over 15+ years, I've found these skills to be directly transferable to leading teams in the corporate world. The best part is working with a young athlete and watching them develop their skills over the course of the season while their self-confidence flourishes! It's a great feeling following my players at the next level knowing that you played a small role in their development.
