How do you stay motivated when facing deadlines?
Getting feedback is important, especially if the person has done the task or has faced the same challenges you are facing. They can provide you with templates or show previous examples to guide you in what to expect in accomplishing the task. There is a sense of moral support and talking it out can spark something you haven't realized to help you. You can also incorporate professional development in the feedback. By asking how they developed certain skill sets and what recommendations they can give you to strengthen your own. Being coachable is a good sign of leadership for managerial roles.

What are common networking mistakes and how can you avoid them?
When you make meaningful connections, it's important to follow up. A best practice is after the event when the memory is fresh, I would write an email to that person and indicate one thing that stood out in the conversation and indicate if you have an ask. Then I would schedule send or the next day. This practice comes in handy with multiple contacts.
