Received a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology, a vigorous degree demanding knowledge of anatomy and physiology from the diaphragm on up to and including the brain. Through studies in anatomy, brain development and linguistics we answered essential questions including: How does the human body communicate? How do we process auditory information? What processes and procedures are optimal to improve receptive and expressive language disabilities? How can you access I.D.E.A. laws to ensure you or your child receive mandated services to improve your ability to communicate? How can strokes, traumatic brain injuries or birth defects affect your ability to communicate? I was inspired to pursue this major because my brother was born with an articulation disorder and I was fascinated every time he was serviced by a speech pathologist as I was growing up.
