    Dance Marathon at FSU is an amazing organization that has had a huge impact on my volunteer and philanthropy experience. Dance Marathon at Florida State University, a Miracle Network Dance Marathon, is a year-long effort that culminates into an annual 40-hour event, where more than 1,800 students stay awake and on their feet to raise money and awareness for our local beneficiaries. Over the past 21 years, Dance Marathon at FSU has raised nearly $8 million for our local Children’s Miracle…

    Dance Marathon at FSU is an amazing organization that has had a huge impact on my volunteer and philanthropy experience. Dance Marathon at Florida State University, a Miracle Network Dance Marathon, is a year-long effort that culminates into an annual 40-hour event, where more than 1,800 students stay awake and on their feet to raise money and awareness for our local beneficiaries. Over the past 21 years, Dance Marathon at FSU has raised nearly $8 million for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Shands Children’s Hospital, and the FSU College of Medicine. In 2016, DM at FSU raised a grand total of $1,435,120.32 For The Kids. These funds make the difference in providing the medical care, treatment, and research needed at our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital and the FSU College of Medicine!

    Relay for Life at FSU

    Health

    Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it's time to take action against cancer. As a fundraiser, it is my job to raise money for our team, and to attend the "all night" event each Spring.

At UIFI®, I will learn the skills to improve my own leadership…
