    Challenges to healthcare access and equity exist based upon a number of factors; age, race, resource insecurity, etc. My goal is to devise strategies that create greater access and equity in care delivery to ensure better outcomes for populations with healthcare challenges.

    The interest in equity is not limited to healthcare, however, as I believe changes to provide access and opportunity for at-risk populations should be at the forefront of policy analysis.

    Masters of Science in Communication with a concentration in Health. Researching health communication strategies for enhanced patient support and education in healthcare settings. Designing social marketing campaigns to provide education and impetus to bring improved health outcomes to diverse populations.

  • Completed undergraduate studies in Biology and moved on to post-baccalaureate work in Secondary Education.

    On behalf of the EHRA, this task force "focuses on member education, thought leadership and advocacy, and understanding and dismantling the barriers to equitable care." The health related social needs of people affect their ability to seek and receive equitable health care and achieve optimum wellness. Ensuring that healthcare organizations can use their EHRs to identify and serve their community needs is the focus of this task force.
