“Every team is stronger when Kate is a member. I had the privilege of being her direct manager for 3+ years. I leaned on her to brainstorm on complex topics; she helped to elevate the quality of all of the products and projects we worked on. Kate is intelligent, thoughtful and executes projects with precision and high quality. Her passion to improve the healthcare delivery system, particularly for those impacted by inequities, is the undercurrent driving all the work that she does. Kate raises the bar for everyone around her. She enabled me to be a better manager, and provides unwavering support to colleagues in need of her help. Kate is an incredible leader, human and teammate.”

Research Interests: Improving access and equity in healthcare for special populations.
Challenges to healthcare access and equity exist based upon a number of factors; age, race, resource insecurity, etc. My goal is to devise strategies that create greater access and equity in care delivery to ensure better outcomes for populations with healthcare challenges.
The interest in equity is not limited to healthcare, however, as I believe changes to provide access and opportunity for at-risk populations should be at the forefront of policy analysis. -
