I was placed in a group of six students and we had the task of putting on a themed dinner for all of our family and friends. I chose to work in the Back of the House with one other student and the other four worked in the Front of House. The theme we chose was the Triple Crown horse races. We created a menu that would accompany 170 guests and decorated our University's Grand Ballroom with money we raised through ticket sales. We had a team of 13 people in the Back of House to help us expedite a reception with passed hors d'oeuvres, dinner with four courses and post-reception with passed and plated desserts. The turnout was amazing, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
