    I became aware of It's My Heart when my son was diagnosed with a coarctation of the aorta. They were extremely helpful to my wife and I with tons of information that we so desperately needed. After a successful surgery, my wife and I decided to spend our time volunteering for It's My Heart. We worked on various projects together over the years: from volunteering at the Keep The Beat run/walk events, to stuffing thousands of comfort bags for parents who found themselves in similar situations as…
