My mission, focus, and passion is on learning, education, skills, and the future of work and education. Our challenge globally is to upskill one billion people by 2030 and to champion lifelong learning for everyone so we can keep up with how quickly the world is changing.
I'm the co-author of "The Expertise Economy: How the smartest companies use learning to engage, compete and succeed," which focuses on the urgent need to upskill the workforce with the skills needed most for the future of work. I've been published in Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloane Management, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, Barron's, Forbes, Entrepreneur, and Fast Company among others.
I advise on business, education, career, and culture strategies and consult with companies, start-ups, venture funds, non-profits, and universities around the world. I speak regularly at industry and business conferences on various topics including upskilling the workforce, the future of work, women in leadership, building a human-centered culture, and the future of education.

Closing America's Skills Gap
Barron's
As the pace of business change reaches unprecedented speed, the most important resource inside any organization is not its technology. It's the learning agility of its workforce... Tech skills get a lot of attention, there's an even greater need for what I call 'POWER SKILLS,' such as creativity, curiosity, communications, empathy, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking... these uniquely human skills will be even more important for making organizations innovative and successful.

The workplace is going through a large-scale transition with digitization, automation, and acceleration. Critical skills and expertise are imperative for companies and their employees to succeed in the future, and the most forward-thinking companies are being proactive in adapting to the shift in the workforce. Kelly Palmer, Silicon Valley thought-leader from LinkedIn, Degreed, and Yahoo, and David Blake, co-founder of Ed-tech pioneer Degreed, share their experiences and describe how some of the smartest companies in the world are making learning and expertise a major competitive advantage.
The authors provide the latest scientific research on how people really learn and concrete examples from companies in both Silicon Valley and worldwide who are driving the conversation about how to create experts and align learning innovation with business strategy. It includes interviews with people from top companies like Google, LinkedIn, Airbnb, Unilever, NASA, and MasterCard; thought leaders in learning and education like Sal Khan and Todd Rose; as well as Thinkers50 list-makers Clayton Christensen, Daniel Pink, and Whitney Johnson.Altri autoriVedi pubblicazione -
