Women in Technology’s mission is to help girls and women break into successful STEAM career paths while providing them with opportunities and mentorship along the way. They achieve this by offering various programs that provide opportunities and mentorship, guiding them throughout their journey. WIT Career ConneXions was launched to support these women with hands-on technology training and job opportunities.

Our campaign had a powerful goal, but now needed an impactful brand identity to match. I drew my inspiration from the original WIT brand colors and logo to design modern and professional brand assets. Partnering with our Single Mothers program, I worked to gather photos, videos, and testimonials that would showcase the heart and soul of our mission. Another key component of our campaign was our slogan, 'Passionately working to get women trained and able to work in rewarding and well-paid tech careers.' This powerful statement encapsulated WIT’s unwavering commitment to empowering women in technology and their careers.

In preparation for this major program launch, I developed a strategic marketing plan to effectively reach our target audience. This plan incorporated a mix of communication channels, including email, social media, paid ads, and blog articles. I scripted and edited video testimonials, presenting them as compelling case studies and using them as ads. These testimonials added a human touch and showcased the real stories of those benefiting from our initiatives, underscoring the value of our program. I also crafted a blog article that doubled as our press release, which was shared with our email community of over 20,000 members. This ensured that our message reached a wide audience, generating interest and excitement around the upcoming launch.

In 2022, Women in Technology (WIT) celebrated its 30th year anniversary. I had the responsibility of creating and executing a campaign that would highlight WIT's three decades of unwavering commitment to building the next generation of female leaders in STEAM.

One of the most powerful tools we used was our slogan, "Celebrating 30 Years of Women in STEAM." This tagline perfectly encapsulated our mission and showcased the strength and diversity of our community. It was the cornerstone of our campaign efforts and helped inspire the next generation of female leaders in STEAM.

To get our message across, we used a variety of channels including blog posts, email newsletters, and social media. We created engaging content that highlighted our accomplishments and showcased the talented women in our community. By using different channels, we were able to reach a wider audience and connect with more people who shared our passion for promoting gender equality in STEAM.
